 Non Profit  Organization Tokyo occupational safety and health center ( TOSHC ) was founded in July, 1998. The main aims of the center are to keep safety and health for workers, to prevent occupational accidents and diseases, and to establish comfortable work environment.  Our center is composed of 2 OSH center in Tokyo. Tokyo East Occupational Safety and Health Center, founded in 1979, was covering from east to middle of Tokyo, and San-tama OSH center was mainly covering suburb of Tokyo. In collaboration with 2 OSH center, we had continued our activities nearly 20 years. Today, the technical innovation competition and the sudden transformation of the social economy are bringing a big change to the workplace and to the work environment. The people who have mental problems due to hard working and long time are increasing. According to the recent statistics of occupational diseases and accidents, more than 2000 people were killed by occupational accidents, more than 150.000 cases of absence from workplace are reported, and more than 9.000 new victims of occupational diseases have been found. Besides, 80% of these accidents and diseases are happening in the less than 100 employee workplace. In such a present situation, the TOSHC works to respect the safety and health of workers truly, and to support promoting better workplace conditions.
