米海兵隊は日本にいらない！米紙意見広告運動98の
事務局をしてました浦田ともうします。
ニュージーランドの平和団体から以下のようなメールが来ました。
この前に、日本の米軍基地問題、平和運動に取り組んでいる人を
紹介してほしいとのメールをもらって、数名を紹介しました。
それに対して来た返事です。
この中の「JCUM」とは
Japan Coalition on the U.S. Military Basesの略で、
昨年ニューヨークタイムスに海兵隊いらない！意見広告を出したときの
こちらの発行元の英語名です。
日本名の「米紙意見広告を実現する会」を英語に直訳するのも
アメリカで出されることを考えると少し変な気がしたので、
とりあえず、このような名前の発行主体名で出したものです。
