 湾岸戦争で使用された劣化ウラン弾に関する詳細な報告書が出ました。
 The Office of the Special Assistant for Gulf War Illunesses(湾岸戦争症候
群特別援護局?)による中間報告。1998年7月31日付。目次を見て分かるよう
に劣化ウラン弾に関する集大成のような資料で、図が44葉、文献が314、全部ダ
ウンロードしたら10メガ以上になりました。さらに、文献から関連資料にリンクが
付いています。「戦争は最大の環境破壊」だということがよく分かります。

 しかし、結論は次のように結ばれている。懲りない奴。
The report's bottom-line conclusion, based on a comprehensive review of
available data and a science-based methodology, is that exposures to DU's
heavy metal (chemical) toxicity or low-level radiation are not a cause of
the undiagnosed illnesses afflicting some Gulf War veterans.

Depleted Uranium in the Gulf

   The Office of the Special Assistant for Gulf War Illnesses is reporting
on what we know today about specific events that took place during the Gulf
War of 1990 and 1991. This particular report focuses on the use of, and
exposures to, depleted uranium (DU). This is an interim report, not a final
report. We hope that you will read this and contact us with any information
that would help us better understand the events reported here. With your
