なんという光景だ。数分前、パレスチナ側のカッサーム・ロケットが飛んでいく
音が聞こえた。続いて、もう一つ、そして爆発音。2発目は、パレスチナ人を
標的にしていたイスラエルの機体から爆撃されたものと思われる。今、
聴いたニュースによれば、イスラエルのアパッチ・ヘリが攻撃したのは、
釣堀用の池のあるリクリエーション・グラウンドだという。シファー病院は、
195人の遺体、570人の負傷者が同病院に運ばれていると声明を
発表している。刻一刻と死傷者の数は増え続けている。これはガザ市
だけの数字だ。ほかの町や村、難民キャンプからの公式の発表はない。
自宅アパートの近くで末息子がスクール・バスを待っていたところ、以前、
国境警備局があったところが攻撃された。息子が立っていたところから
50メートルしか離れていないところで、男性二人と少女二人が即死した！
真っ暗な夜だ。小さな発電機を動かして、ネットを通じて世界と交信している。

It is horrible outside! Minutes ago I heared a hissing of a Palestinian
Kassam, then another one accompanied with an explosion; it seems that
the second one received a bomb from an Israeli aircraft that could have
targeted the Palestinian group! In the news now, Israeli Apatchi targeted
a recreation ground with fish ponds! Shifa hospital stated that there is
more than 195 dead bodies and more than 570 injured there! Every minute
the number of casulties rise up. Those figures are in Gaza, and there are
still no official statements from other towns, villages and refugee camps!
Near my apartment my youngest son was waiting for his school bus
when the former preventive security department was hit. 5o meters from
where he was standing two men and two young girls died immediately!

Its ustterly dark night now. I am operating a small generator to contact
the world via internet.

新たな爆撃。ガザでは３つのテレビ局を視聴できるが、これは電力を
なんとか確保できた場合の話だ。空爆はガザ市東部に集中。
ある女性は10人の家族を失った。生き残ったのは彼女と娘一人だけだ。
娘はメディアに向かって、何も語ることができなかった。何が
起こったのか見当がつかない、と彼女は言う。町のいたるところで

11:00 p.m. New air raids by Israeli F16s. On TV Gazans can see
only three channel. This is in case they enjoy electic power
in a way or another. Raids are concnetrated at the eastern
parts of the city of Gaza. One woman lost 10 of her family.
Only she and a daughter remained alive. Daughter could not
speak to the media because she did not know what happened,
as she said! Panic is everywhere in the city and we anticipate

With Gaza closure, there is no glass available for
the widows. In the apartment building where I live, 7
apartments witness freezing cold nights! They used
blankets to cover in the place of the broken windows.
Hundreds of homes live the same situation! This is
the least to say. On the other hand, Mr Hanieh gave a
televied speech on Hamas local TV station. His speech was
to raise morale and to re-confirm that Hamas will not
surrender. Death toll has climbed to 210. Also there are
200 seriously injured people around as well. Now another air raid to the
north of Gaza city!

今のところ無事だが・・

私も家族も無事だが、緊張が続き疲労している。自家用発電機のトラブルのせいで、依然、電気なしの状態。2時間前、隣接するビルがヘリから小規模なロケット砲で攻撃された。標的は７階のアパート。私のアパートは4階だ。それから、通りの向かいにあるビルの5階のアパートも攻撃された。耐え難い状況だ。住民は正真正銘のパニックに襲われている！昨晩、Ｆ１６型戦闘機がアル＝アクサー衛星放送局を攻撃した。同局は粉々になり、周囲のビルも多くが居住不可能になってしまった！ビルの持ち主も住人たちもよそへ移らなければならない！シファー病院の向かいにある小さなモスクも粉々になり、その攻撃のせいで周りの住宅も深刻な被害を受けた。私の友人の家もその一つだ。何が起きたのか、言葉では言い表せないと?!
 ?は言う。彼の家は重篤な被害に見舞われた。56歳になる姉は重傷を負った！さらに英国の委任統治時代に英軍が建設した庁舎（アル＝サライヤ）もやられた。標的になったのは刑務所だった。収容されているのは政治犯や一般の囚人だというのに！メディアは死者２８０名と報道しているが、シファー病院で医師をしている友人の一人は、死者は約５００名に達し、負傷者も１０００人以上にのぼるという！ラファの国境地帯でも攻撃はエスカレートしている。トンネルを破壊するための作戦が展開されているのだ。何百人ものパレスチナ人が怒涛のようにエジプト国境に徒歩で押しよせているが、エジプト人官憲の発砲に遭って、誰もエジプト側に入れないでいる。

My dearest Rachael,

My family and I are okay but stressed. I am still without electric power and
athere was a problem with my generator. Two hours back, the building
adjacent to our building was hit by a small rocket from a heliocapter. The
target was an apartment on the 7th floor. Mine is on the 4th floor. Then, in
another building across the street, an apartment on the 5th floor was
targeted too. Situation is horrible and people are really paniced! Last
night, F16 targeted Al-Aqsa satellite channel and leveled it to the ground.
Many buildings around it became impossible to live in! Its owners and
dwellers have deserted it to somewhere else! One small mosque across the
street from Shifa hospital was leveled to the ground. Homes around suffered
badly from its consequences. One of the homes belong to a friend of mine; he
told me that what he witnesses was hard to describe in words, and a lot of
damage inflected upon his home. Also his 56 years old sister was serverly
injured ! Also, th! e main governemental building (al-Sarayya), a buiding
constructed by the British army during the mandante' was hit; target was the
prisons where there were civil and security prisoners were kept! A friend of
mine, a medical doctor at Shifa hospital told me that death toll has climbed
to approximately 500 though the media mention 280 dead, and more than 1000
injured! The escallation now is at Rafah border with Israeli aircrafts
operating at Rafah border to destroy tunnels. Humdreds of the Palestinians
stormed the Egyptian border with a buldozer and on foot but failed to enter
to the other side as the Egyptians shot live at them.

F16 destroyed the largest security building in Gaza. The compound was built
by the European Union for Arafat's security services. Four missles leveled
the building to the ground; also police stations were hit and totally
destroyed today. It is mentioned that 230 cites were targeted by the Israeli
warplanes. Large number of civilians including children died and injured in
today's attacks. At Rafah border one Palestinian was shot dead, then is
other shootings, one Egyptian officer was shot dead. Situation on the border
is terribly bad too. The Israeli ground attack seems possible!

昨晩、ガザ市内だけで２０ヶ所が空襲された。爆撃について私が知るかぎりのことをお伝えする。

１．自宅近所に３回目の攻撃。元公安局。うちミサイル１基が不発のまま、自宅アパートのあるビルの正面、救急ステーションから数メートルのところ、に落ちる。
２．ガザのイスラーム大学の主要校舎二つが粉々に。建物の一つは実験室棟、もう一つは講義棟。いずれも地上４階、地下１階建て。
３．ビーチ難民キャンプ、イスマーイール・ハニーエ氏の住まいの隣家が空と海から同時攻撃され崩壊。
４．モスク２つが空襲され粉々に。中にいた１０人が死亡、うち５人はアンワル・バルーシャ氏の娘たち。自宅が危険なのでモスクに避難していたのだろう。これで、破壊されたモスクは計６つに。
５．内務省のパスポート局の建物も今朝、破壊された。
６．文化省のビルも今朝、こなごなに。
７．首相執務室のビルも空襲され完全に破壊。
８．民事行政の主要ビルも完全破壊。
９．地元メディアが報道していないため私が把握できていない複数ヶ所に何度かの攻撃が実行されている。夜間、ヘリコプターが複数回にわたり攻撃するのを目撃。
１０．ジャバリーヤ青年スポーツセンター（ＵＮＲＷＡの施設）が、空から直撃された。

１１．サライヤ政府センター近くの空き家が空襲され破壊。
１２．ゼイトゥーン地区で移動中の車体が攻撃され破壊、男性２人、子ども１人が死亡。

１３．下校途中の高校生の姉妹２人が、空爆を受け死亡。
１４．いつかの警察署が再度、攻撃される。
１５．イスラエルはジャーナリストおよび記者に対し自宅もしくはオフィスにとどまること、従わない場合は攻撃目標にすると公式に伝達。ガザで起きていることをメディアに報道させないためだ。
１６．病院二つが標的に。ファタ病院はまだできたばかりで操業していなかったが、空から攻撃された。もう一つのほうは小さな個人経営の病院。テル・エル＝ハワーのアル＝ウィアム病院も標的にされた。
１７．ベイト・ハヌーンの庁舎も昨晩、破壊された。
１８．ラファの自治体のビルも昨晩、破壊された。
１９．ラファの庁舎も昨晩、標的にされた。
２０．ラファのハシャシュ地区が昨晩、二度にわたり攻撃された。いずれもミサイル２基によるもの。２回目の着弾で周囲１５軒の家々が破壊される。
２１．ゼイトゥーン地区のグランドにミサイル一基、着弾。
２２．ラファ国境地帯にある４０個のトンネルに対し空から攻撃、トンネルすべてを破壊。
２３．ビーチ難民キャンプの警察署、完全に破壊。
２４．旧エジプト・ガザ総督の邸宅も空と海からミサイル攻撃を受け完全に破壊。

ガザの負傷者のための民間協会が破壊された。ガザとハーン・ユーヌスにあるアル＝ファラフ慈善協会の二つの建物も破壊された。

Subject: More attacks on Gaza!

Last night Israeli aircrafts targeted more than 20 places in Gaza city, let
alone other areas. Let me tell you what I knew from those bombings:
1- A thirds attack on my neighbour the former preventive security
department. One missle did not explode and fall in front of my apartment
building just meters from the ambulance station.
2- Two major building were leveled to the floor at the Islamic Univresity of
Gaza. One building was main laboratories and the other was lecture rooms
buildings. Each building was 4 floors high and a basement.
3- A home next to the home of Ismael Haniey at the Beach refugee camp was
leveled to the ground by attack from air and sea simultaneously.
4- Two mosques were leveled to the ground by air raids. 10 people died
inside, among them were five daughers of Anwar Balousha as they migh have
took refuge is the mosque as their home was unsafe! So far, six mosques have
been demolished
5- A building for passport department at the ministry of interior was put
down this morning.
6- The buiding of the Ministry of Culture was leveled to the floors this
morning.
7- A building for the Prime Minster's office was totaly demolished in an air
raid.
8- The main building of Civil Adminstration has been totally demolished.
9- Several attack were executed on places that I did not know and the local
media could not cover. I saw helocapter launcing their attacks at night.
10- Jabalia youth sports center (UNRWA facility) was hit directly from the
air.
11- An empty house near Sarayya gvernment center was demloished by air raid.
12- A moving vehicle was targeted and destroyed killing two men and a child
in Zaitoun neighbourhood.
13- Two sister in the high school were returning home from school died
together by air bombing.
14- Several police stations were hit again.
15- Journalists and reporters were officially informed by Israel to stay in
their places and offices oherwise they will be targeted. This is to stop
media coverage of what is taking place in Gaza.
16- Two hospitals were targeted. Fata hospital is still new and did not
start working but hit from air, andother small private hospital, Al-Weaam in
Tel el-Hawwa was targeted as well!
17- Biet Hanoun municipality building was destroyed last night.
18- Rafah governorate building was demolished last night.
19- Rafah municipality building was targeted last night.
20- Hashash neighbourhood in Rafah was attacked twice last night. Each time
with two missles. The second hit demolished 15 adjacent homes. Many people
died in the attack.
21- A playground in zaitoun neighbourhood was his by a missle.
22- Israeli aricarft targeted 40 tunnels at the Rafah border destroyed all
of them.
23- Beach Camp police station was totally destoryed.
24- The palace of the former Egyptian governer of Gaza was totally destroyed
from air and sea. missles!

A civil society for the injured in Gaza has been destroyed. Two buildings
occupied by Al-Falah benevolent Society in Gaza and Khan Younis was also
destroyed!

Today, large popular Egyptian demnostrations in protest against the Israeli
invasion of Gaza.

Today, demonstrations, against Gaza invasion, by the Palestinians (1984

ガザ地区に対する急襲はなおも続いている。ハーン・ユーニスにさらなる襲撃。昨晩、10回以上も。うち2回はハーン・ユーヌス自治地区の建物に対して。
ガザ市では、シュジャイヤ地区（ガザ市東部）の古いモスクが攻撃され破壊された。
ガザ北部では、ロバに引かれた荷車が空襲され、避難途上の一家が死亡。だが、発表によれば、攻撃されたのはグラッド・ロケットを積載した車だという！ことの真相はと言えば、不運な一家が家財道具を荷車に載せてロバに引かせていたに過ぎないのだ！
毎時間のようにイスラエルの爆撃でさらなる数の民間人が死んでゆく。
イスラーム大学と予防安全保障局の一群の建物に新たな攻撃。アル＝アズハル大学の校舎も被害に見舞われた。

イスラエルのヘリや飛行機が今も頭上を飛びかっている。今晩もガザに対してさらなる攻撃があるにちがいない。ガザのパレスチナ人は対空兵器など何一つ持ってはいないというのに！これが私たちにとっての新年のスタート、これが私たちの「ハッピー・ニュー・イヤー」、これが、失敗に終わった恥知らずのブッシュ政権と民主主義が私たちに送るラスト・メッセージなのだ！
昨日、カイロでは大規模なデモがあった。デモ参加者が叫んだのはムバーラク大統領を非難するスローガンだった。裏切り者ムバーラク、ムバーラクに死を、イスラエルはナイルの地から出て行け、といった敵意に満ちた言葉の数々。

Raid are still going on in Gaza Strip. More raids on Khan Younis. Lats night
more than ten raids on Khan Younis. Two of it were on the building of Khan
Younis governoate. In Gaza an old mosque in Shejaiah (East of Gaza) was hit
and demolished. In the north of Gaza, an aircraft his a cart drawn by a
donkey to kill a family that were leaving the place to save their lives. The
irony is thta it was claimed that they hit a car loaded with GRAD rockets!
That poor family had their belonings with them on the donkey cart! Every
hour more civilans dies by Israeli bombs. There was a another raid at the
Islamic University again, and the former Preventive security deparmtent
compunds again. Building at Al-Azhar Univeristy inflected damages too.

Israeli aircraft are still flying in the sky over our heads. We expect more
action against Gaza tonight! The Palestinians in Gaza do not have any kind
of anti-aircraft weapons! This is the start of 2009. This is the Happy New
Year and the final words of the failed and shameful Bush's administration
and democracy!,
Yesterday witnesses large demonstrations in Cairo. Protesters shouted
slogans against President Hosni Bubarak calling him traitor, and Death to
Mubarak, Israel go out of the land of the Nile, and other hostile
statements!

パルテル〔パレスチナの電話会社〕の録音メッセージが、パレスチナの外から有線および携帯電話にかかってくるパレスチナ人市民に対する脅迫電話に注意するよう警告している！分からないが外部の誰かが私に電話をかけようとしていた。だが携帯は電気がないため使用不能で、発電機を作動させるのは、外界に発信するためだ。
さまざまな無人機が私たちの頭上から立ち去る気配はない。今まさに、付近のどこかが攻撃された。爆撃が膨大な回数に及ぶため、どこに着弾したか、もはや見分けることができない。ガザ市内だけでこの状態だ。ほかの地域も言うまでもない。
地元メディアのニュースによれば、イスラエルの地対地ミサイルがブレイジュ難民キャンプに、また砲弾が何発かハーン・ユーニス東部に撃ち込まれたという。ガザ・ワーディ東部では（ガザ・ワーディは小さな村だ）、民家が１軒、空爆された。爆発で２人が亡くなり、ほかは負傷！公式の死者数は３９０に達し、負傷者は約１８００人、子どもをはじめ膨大な数の民間人が含まれている！

20 targts hit the same night! Those pictures of the first attack! PalTell in
a recorede speech gives warnings to its participants to be aware of phone
call and mobile phone calls from outside Palestine in a threat of Gaza
citizens! I do not know but someone from outside tried to contact me but
mobile net is broken because there is no electricity around and I operate a
generator to keep contact with the outside world. Different kinds of Israeli
drones did not leave our skies at all. Just now, there was a targeting of
somewhere around us. Because of the large number of bombings, we are no
longer able to distinguish where it falls. This is only in Gaza, let alone
other areas. In the local media there are news of Israeli land-land missles
shot at al-Buraij refugee camp and some artilery shells east of Khan Younis.
To the east of Gaza Wadi (Gaza Wadi small village) one reisdent home was bo!
mbed from air; two died and others injured in the blast! Death toll official
number has risen to 390 and the injured is about 1800 persons, with a great
number of civilians including children! Al-Qassam Brigades in a news
conference now renews vows to fight; they said they launched 150 rockets
against Israeli despite the extensive activitiy of the Israeli aircrafts and
drones in the skies. Happy New Year!

ある男性は攻撃のひとつに巻き込まれ、まる１日行方不明となり、家族は３日間、喪に服した。今日、その男性がシファー病院の集中治療室で存命中であることが判明した。スドゥキ・ハンマードだ！
これ以上、新たな攻撃の波について伝えることができない。民家一軒が今まさに燃えている！なんということだ！

Tonight's heavy bombing has just started with targeting homes and other
governmental places. For the second time, targets in Tel Elhawa! Other raids

demloishing 200 tunnels at Rafah border area. One man was lost in day one of
the attack, his family held a mourning for three days. Today he was found
alive in ICU at Shifa hospital. He is Soudki Hammad! I cannot tell more
about the new wave of raids. One civilian home is burning right now!
Horrible!

幸いなことに、ほんの１０分前に、この５日間で初めて電気が復旧した。ガザは今、午前零時。無人機の唸り声が耳障りとはいえ、ミサイルがそこらじゅう、目と鼻の先やはるか彼方にシャワーのように降り注ぐことに比べれば何でもない。
２０分前、付近で軍用ヘリによる攻撃があったが、どこだか場所を特定できない。燃えた家は、近所にある政府関係の建物の近くだ。私が住んでいるテル・エル＝ハワーは政府関係の建物が数多く集まっている地域だ。それらの建物の多くが一度ならず攻撃されている！今やガザの８０％以上が停電している！
実を言えば、ガザのいたるところでパニックが起きている。多くの民家が、故意あるいはその他で、攻撃されているのだ。ガザに対する今回の軍事攻勢で４２人の子どもたちが殺された。これらの子どもたちがハマースの活動家でロケット弾を発射しているというのだろうか！
ハマースのアル＝カッサーム旅団には１万２千人がいると思う。その中核は、まだ何の戦闘もしておらず、依然、士気と強度を保っている。一方、主たる犠牲者は警官隊、民間の労働者、子どもや学生をはじめとする無辜の人々だ。イスラエルが攻撃しているのはホテル、スポーツセンター、空き家、パスポートの発給や税関、税務に使われていた政府関係の建物である。彼らは庁舎や、ガザではまだだが、町々や村々の役所を攻撃している。彼らはまた１０のモスクを攻撃し、うち６つは完全に破壊された。だが、いずれの場合も、モスク周辺は著しい害を被った。ジャバリーヤ難民キャンプではある家族の５人姉妹が、モスクの壁が崩れ落ち、瓦礫の下敷きになって殺された。

Thanks Prof miriam cooke (Duke University) for your warm feelings and
genuine concern. Fortunately, I have just received electricity for the first
time in five days, only ten minutes ago. Its 12.00 a.m. in Gaza now. Sound
of drones buzzing is annoying but that is just nothing when the missles
shower here and there; near me and in the distance. 20 minutes back, there
was an attack by a military chopper nearby, but I could not decide where it
was. The house that was burnt is located near a governmental building in my
neighbourhood too. I live in Tel el-Hawa where many governmental buildings
are located. Many of them where hit more than once! Now 80% of Gaza is
without electricity! To tell you the truth, panic is everywhere in Gaza as
so many homes were hit whether intentionally or otherwise. 42 children were
killed in the offensive on Gaza. I wonder if those children where Hamas
activists and rockets launchers! I beleive that 12 thousand Hamas Al-Qassam
Brigades! hard core are still holding firmly and strong as they haven't yet
gone into any fight. Meantime, the main losses were in the police force and
civilan workers and innocent people including children and students. Israel
hits hotels, sport centers, empty homes, governmental buildings like that
one used for passports issues and another one used as a custome house and
taxes authority. They hit municipality buidings and governorates buildings
in the towns and villages but not in Gaza yet. They also targeted about 10
mosques, with 6 of it were totally destructed, but mosques neighbours in all
cases were badly hurt. InJabalia refugee camp 5 sisters of one family killed
under rubble as the mosque's wall collpsed on them.

Tis is a little of much to be written on what has been going on at Christams
time when people all over the world, even Muslim countries are supposed to
spend great time.

ガザ攻撃はハマースに対してではない、全パレスチナ人に対する攻撃だ

日曜午後３時19分。ミサイルが向かってくる音が電話越しにも聞こえる。続いてもう一発。脅えた子どもたちの叫びがそれに重なる。ガザ市テル・アル＝ハワー地区。高層アパートがひしめく。どのビルにも何十人という子どもたちが、そしてどのブロックにも何百人という子どもたちがいる。

子どもたちの父親であるＢは、近所の家から煙が上がっていると言って電話を切る。１時間後、２軒のアパートがやられたと彼は言う。１軒は無人だった。誰が住んでいるか彼は知らない。もう１軒は、負傷者が出たが、ロケット弾の発射を担当するメンバーの家だ。だが、幹部や重要人物というわけではない。
日曜日正午、イスラエル空軍がガザのナショナル・セキュリティ・サービスの一群の建物を爆撃した。ガザ市の中央刑務所もそこにある。３人の被収容者が殺された。うち２人はファタハのメンバーと思われる。３人目はイスラエルに協力した廉で服役していた。ハマースはガザ地区にある他の刑務所の大半から被収容者たちを避難させていたが、この監獄は安全だと思ったのだ。

日曜日午前零時、Ｓは電話の音に起こされた。「どっちみち眠っていたわけじゃないんだ」と彼は言った。「受話器をとると、アラビア語の録音が聞こえた。『武器弾薬を自宅に置いている者は誰であれ、家を爆撃することを警告する』と」。

近所に住むある家庭は家族３人を殺された。３人とも20代の若者だった。彼らの誰ひとり武器や弾薬など持ってはいなかった。彼らがただ通りを歩いていたところ、イスラエル空軍が通りすがりの車を爆撃したのだ。別の隣人は16歳の娘を亡くした。その姉は重傷を負った。イスラエル空軍が、パレスチナ自治政府の予防安全保障サービスがかつて使っていた建物を爆撃したのだが、それは彼女たちの学校のすぐ隣だった。

Ｓは、ガザの市警本部近くに事務所を構える友人を訪ねたとき、土曜日の爆撃の一部がもたらした結果を目にした。その攻撃で殺された一人はハサン・アブー・シュナブ、元ハマース幹部のイスマーイール・アブー・シュナブの長男だった。

      Amira Hass / 'Gaza strike is not against Hamas, it's against all
Palestinians'

      At 3:19 P.M. Sunday, the sound of an incoming missile could be heard
over the telephone. And then another, along with the children's cries of
fear. In Gaza City's Tel al-Hawa neighborhood, high-rise apartment buildings
are crowded close together, with dozens of children in every building,
hundreds in every block.

      Their father, B., informs me that smoke is rising from his neighbor's
house and ends the call. An hour later, he tells me that two apartments were
hit. One was empty; he does not know who lives there. The other, which
suffered casualties, belongs to a member of a rocket-launching cell, but no
one senior or important.

      At noon Sunday, the Israel Air Force bombed a compound belonging to
Gaza's National Security Service. It houses Gaza City's main prison. Three
prisoners were killed. Two were apparently Fatah members; the third was
convicted of collaborating with Israel. Hamas had evacuated most of the Gaza
Strip's other prisons, but thought this jail would be safe.
      At 12 A.M. on Sunday, a phone call roused S. "I wasn't sleeping
anyway," he said. "I picked up the receiver and heard a recorded
announcement in Arabic: 'This is to warn you that we will bomb the house of
anyone who has arms or ammunition at home.'"

      Three members of one neighboring family were killed, all young men in
their twenties. None of them owned arms or ammunition; they were simply
walking down the street when the IAF bombed a passing car. Another neighbor
lost a 16-year-old daughter, and her sister was seriously wounded. The IAF
had bombed a building that formerly housed the Palestinian Authority's
Preventive Security Service, and their school was located next door.

      S. saw the results of some of Saturday's bombings when he visited a
friend whose office is located near Gaza City's police headquarters. One
person killed in that attack was Hassan Abu Shnab, the eldest son of former
senior Hamas official Ismail Abu Shnab.

      The elder Abu Shnab, whom Israel assassinated five years ago, was one
of the first Hamas politicians to speak in favor of a two-state solution.
Hassan worked as a clerk at the local university and played in the police
band for fun. He was performing at a police graduation ceremony on Saturday
when the bomb struck.

      "Seventy policemen were killed there, not all Hamas members," said S.,
who opposes Hamas. "And even those who supported Hamas were young men
looking for a job, a salary. They wanted to live. And therefore, they died.
Seventy in one blow. This assault is not against Hamas. It's against all of
us, the entire nation. And no Palestinian will consent to having his people
and his homeland destroyed in this way."

死がガザを覆い尽くしている。嘆きと悲しみが2009年という新年の挨拶なのだ。
血と大量の死体の匂いがする！毎分のように悪い知らせが新たに届く。
爆発音、爆撃、ミサイルの飛来音、崩壊、荒廃、イスラエルの無人機、
アパッチヘリその他の軍用ヘリ、Ｆ１６型戦闘機、足元を揺るがす大地。
破壊の跡がいたるところに。死体、千切れた四肢、泣き叫ぶ子ども、
幼子や夫を探し求める母親。
どこに行けばいいのか、どこに隠れればいいのか、誰にも分からない！
イスラエルの攻撃のもとでは、安全な天国などどこにもありはしない。
市民社会の施設さえ標的にされた。法務省、教育省、文化省が破壊された！
モスクも手ひどくやられた。うち６つは過去のものになってしまった。
これらモスク周辺の何十という家も蹂躙され、粉砕された。
人々は死に、また傷ついた。今日、2009年1月1日までに、攻撃で2000人以上が負傷し、
420人以上が殺された。この数字には50人を上回る子どもたちが含まれている。
今日、ガザ市だけで、20回以上の空襲が実行された！最後の攻撃で、
ジャバリーヤ難民キャンプの4階建ての建物が破壊され、少なくとも15人が殺された！

      What Gaza looks like on Jan. 1st, 2009? Death is everywhere in Gaza.
Sorrow and sadness is the address of the new year 2009. There is a smell of
blood and carnage! Every minutes witnesses new bad news; bangs, bombings,
missile hissing, collapses, devastation, Israeli drones, Apaches and other
choppers, F16s, land shakes under us; destruction everywhere, dead bodies,
mutilated parts, crying children and mothers searching for their kids and
husbands; no one knows where to go or where to hide! No safe haven under the
Israeli attack. Even civil society establishments were targeted; the
ministry of justice, the ministry of education, the ministry of culture have
been destroyed! Mosques were badly hit with six of it became something of
the past. Dozens of the homes around those mosques were devastated and
shattered; people dies and injured. Until today, the first of January 2009,
more than two thousands were injured and more than 420 have been killed in
the attack. This number included more than fifty children. Today, more than
20 air raids were executed on Gaza city only! The latest of the attacks
destroyed a four floor building killing at least 15 people in Jabalia
refugee camp! As I am dispatching this message, 5 floors building has been
demolished in Sheikh Radwan to the north of Gaza city, by an Israeli
warplane minutes ago! I cannot follow up with the news of bombing with a
third large explosion right now!

法務省（新築）、教育省（新築）、囚人問題省、立法評議会（新築）、
両替所３軒、モスク３つ、民家３軒、移動中の車２台、そしてその他の建物も、
空と海から、二度、三度と攻撃された。古い地元の石鹸工場も今朝、攻撃された。
無人機とＦ16が何機か今まさに空を飛行中だ。朝には２０機もの航空機が
空にあった。昨夜、ガザの人間は1分たりとも眠れなかった！
イスラーム大学のイスラーム研究の教授でハマースの指導者であるニザール・
ライヤーン博士が今日、殺された。Ｆ１６がジャバリーヤ難民キャンプ中央部
にある彼の4階建ての自宅を爆撃したのだ。彼の4人の妻たちと9人の子どもたちも

Subject: Gaza is burning again

      The Ministry of Justice (New building), the Ministry of Education (New
building), the  Ministry of Prisoners' Affairs, the Legislative Council (New
building), 3 Money exchange, 3 mosques, 3 Civilian homes, 2 moving vehicles,
other buildings were hit from air and sea for the second and third times,
other places were hit as well. An old local factory of soap was hit this
morning as well.

      Several drones and F16s are flying in the sky right now. In the
morning, score of air crafts were in the sky. Last night no one in Gaza
could sleep for a minute!

      Dr. Nizar Rayyan, professor of Islamic Studies at the Islamic
University, and a Hamas leader was killed today when F16 bombed his 4 floors
home in the middle of Jabalia refugee camp. With him killed his four wives
and nine of his children. So far, search found 14 of his family members
under the rubble. Many homes in the area have badly damaged; some became
inadquate for human life. In previous Israeli incursion Rayyan lost two of
his sons in the fight!

      By all means, with every minutes, Gaza is burning again!

完全な暗闇だ。ガザ市内の８０％以上がすっかり闇に覆われている。
この暗闇のなかでは自分の指さえ見えない！
一方、家の外では、無人機が頭上で唸り、軍用ヘリが空を徘徊している。
家のなかに目を戻せば、子どもたちは就寝時間になっても床につきたがらない！
悪夢や爆撃、爆発を恐れているのだ。当然のことだ！
ルーティンとなった航空機の音が6日以上にわたり昼夜を問わず続いていたが、
それが突然、消えた。・・・爆発音。・・・継続する爆発音。・・・一連の爆発。
・・・ほかにも身の毛のよだつ爆発が複数。・・・爆風・・・遠くで燃え盛る炎。
・・・子どもたちがベッドから飛び上がる。恐がって・・・震え上がって・・・不安そうに・・・
どうしたらよいか分からずに！どこかに身を隠したい、でも、行くところなどないのだ。
 まるでマットレスの下で爆発音がしているみたい、どうしたらいいの？と再び訊ねる。
ただ待つしかないんだ！だが、どうしたら子どもに待つことを納得させられるだろう？
しかも、何を待つというのだ？　
今度は、救急車と消防車のサイレンが聞こえてくる。それでようやく我にかえる。
自分がガザにいて、小さな発電機を動かして2009年新年に世界に向けてメッセージを書いているのだということに。

It sounds like the bang was under theirmattresses. What to do again? Just nothing but wait! How can you convinceyour child to wait? And to wait for what? Next, one hears ambulances sirensand fire brigades. Thus, one comes back to himself to realize that he isGaza and he is operating a small generator to write this message to theworld in the new year 2009.

Despite the exception that Israel is making or foreign passport holders to
allow them to leave Gaza for safety, some of the foreigners have chosen to
remain and share the fate of the rest of the Palestinian people.

Alberto Arce (Spain) has been accompanying ambulances and reporting from
hospitals; “Israel does not want witnesses to the crimes that it is
committing against the people of Gaza. International journalists and aid
agencies are not here. If we leave who will testify to the war crimes we are
seeing.

On the 28th December I looked into the dying eyes of sisters Lama and Haya
Hamdan, four and twelves years old, killed an Israeli missile. The humanity
I saw there was no different from our humanity. Are our lives worth more
than theirs?” Alberto Arce - International Solidarity Movement.

South African-Palestinian Dr. Haidar Eid said; “I believe that this a
historical moment. That this massacre in Gaza runs parallel to that of the
1960 Sharpeville Massacare that took place in South Africa which led to the
initiation of the BDS Campaign against Apartheid. The Gaza massacre of 2009
will intensify the BDS campaign against Israeli apartheid. In Apartheid
South Africa, the BDS campaign ultimately led to the release of Nelson
Mandela being released from prison to later become the first black president
of a democratic, muliti-racial, muliti-cultural state in South Africa. So,
the BDS campaign against Israeli apartheid must result in a unitary state
where all citizens will be treated as equals.” Dr Eid is a Professor of
Social and Cultural Studies at Al Aqsa University, Gaza. He is also on the
Steering committee of the Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural
Boycott of Israel ( PACBI) and one of the founding members of the One
Democratic State Group.

Natalie Abu Shakra (Lebanon) stated; “They did the same thing in Lebanon,
but while in Lebanon some places were under heavy bombardment, some places
were safe. In Gaza nowhere is safe. How can we lieace these peole behind, we
will either live with them or die with them” - Natalie Abu Shakra -

“With the Israeli ban on international journalists, the Gazan voice has
been further muted. Communicating the reality on the ground with the
external world is essential to highlight the illegality of Israel’s
attacks. We recently started accompanying ambulances to document the attacks
on medical personnel, which is a violation of the Geneva Convention. I have
seen and felt the suffering of families and cannot leave them, all the
civilians are vulnerable to Israel’s attacks. We intend to stay and
continue exposing the nature of Israel’s attacks on the Gazan people. ”

observers and medical supplies into Gaza, not out. We have seen firsthand

atrocities. As international observers, we have the responsibility to ensure
that the international community has access to the reality of Israel’s

International Human Rights Activists have been accompanying ambulances in
the Gaza Strip since the murder of medic Mohammed Abu Hassera and Doctor
Ihab Al Mathoon by Israeli missiles on the 31st December. The international
activists were at the Kamal Adwan hospital, Beit Hanoun, as Dr Mathoon died.

Every minutes we haer a blast or two or three. This has been continuous for
more that 15 hours so far. Tanks, artillery, warships. Hussain Odah al-Aiedi
(58 years old), a UNRWA employee, is stuck in the center of the fight.
The Israeli tanks move in a circle of more than one kilometers around his
house. He was shelled at 10:30 p.m. last night. Five of his fmily members
have been injued and in bad condition. No one except the Israeli tanks cn
reach him. There is no electricity, water or food in his house. His family,
mother and the families of two brothers of his are packed in one room. They
are more than twenty people. Hussain need urgent aid and evacuation of the
injured.

Husain al-Aiedy is a Palestinian (58 years of age) lives to the east of Gaza
city. He has been living in the same place for more than 25 years. His house
is located in the middle of green fields. He is an UNRWA employess. He is
now in one room with 20 others of his family, and families of two of his
brothers. They are packed in one small room without electricity, water, food
or telephone! just nothing around him except a battlefiled. Last night at
10:30 p.m. Mr Al-Aiedy was caught in the middle of the fight and a shell
landed in his house to injure five of his family! He has been appealing to
have an ambulance to evacuate the injured but in vain. All appeals to send
him an ambulance to evacuate the injured and if possible, the rest of the
family, have failed so far! At a circle of more than one and half kilomteres
the Israeli army is in total control, thus no one can reach Mr Al-Aiedy
except the Israelis! This situation needs an urgent humanitar! ian action by
human rights organizations from anywhere! There is no electricity, water and
a little food in Gaza. I am still taking the advantage of a generator that I
operate by diesel to contact the world. Bombs fall like shower on us.
Unfortunately, Mr Al-Aiedy is in the heart of the battle!

In Gaza, we are caught in a rain of missles and a barage of artillery
shells! Its totally dark right now but it is interrupted by a buzzing sound
of unmanned planes and heliocapters. Streets are deserted! Between now and
then, we hear sirenes of ambulances and fire brigades! Civilians flee their
homes in the north of Gaza towards the west of the city, and they flee from
Zaitoun neighbourhood to the Western parts! Civilains are vulnerable and who
cares! They are unprotected at all. Today, three paramedics dies while
trying to save lives. The dy before yesterday one medical doctor and a
paramedic were killed too. Tonight, all mobile phone net have been totally
paralyzed now. Land telephone lines are bad, but it is working! Before dawn,
clouds of black smoke were everywhere in Gaza skies! Oooooops. right now,
land shakes under us! Booooooom!

THE BOMBING OF A UNIVERSITY IN GAZA?

Not one of the 450 presidents of American colleges and universities, who
denounced the decision of the union representing British academics to
promote a boycott of Israeli universities, raised their voice against the
bombardment of the Islamic University in Gaza. Columbia University President
Lee Bollinger who organized the petition remained silent, as did his
co-signatories from Princeton, Northwestern, MIT and Cornell. Most others
who signed similar petitions, like the 11,000 professors from nearly 1,000
universities around the world, also refrained from expressing their outrage
when the leading university in the Gaza Strip was attacked. The artfully
named Scholars for Peace in the Middle East, which organized the latter
appeal, surely had nothing to say about the assault.

The story was reported widely by the different news agencies, including the
Chronicle. Ha’aretz noted that Israel “bombed the Islamic University and a
government compound in Gaza City, key centers of Hamas power, in the third
day of its aerial assault on the city.”  While the extent of the damage to
the university, which was hit in six different air strikes, is unknown at
this moment, Ha’aretz reported that “Two major buildings were leveled to
the floor… One building was main laboratories and the other was lecture
rooms buildings. Each building was 4 floors high.” Witnesses said the two
university structures hit today were the science-laboratory block and the
Women’s Building, where female students studied in classrooms separate from
those for male students. There were no casualties, as the university was
evacuated when the Israeli assault began on Saturday.

Virtually all the accounts agree that the Islamic University was attacked
because it was a “cultural symbol” of the Hamas movement, the ruling party
in the elected Palestinian government which Israel has targeted in its
ongoing attacks on the Gaza Strip. Mysteriously, hardly any of the news
articles emphasized the educational significance of this university, which
exceeds by far its cultural or political symbolism.

Established ? with the approval of the Israeli authorities ? in 1978, the
Islamic University is the first institution of higher education in the Gaza
Strip and still its major and most important university, serving over 20,000
students, sixty percent of whom are women. It is comprised of ten
faculties ? education, religion, art, commerce, Shariah law, science,
engineering, information technology, medicine and nursing ? and awards B.A.,
B.Sc., M.A., M.Sc. and Diplomas. Taking into account that Palestinian
universities have, in UNICEF’s words, been regionalized because Palestinian
students from Gaza seeking higher education are barred by Israel from
studying either in the West Bank or abroad, the educational significance of
this institution becomes even more apparent.

These restrictions became international news when last summer, Israel
refused to grant exit permits to seven carefully vetted Gazan students who
has been awarded Fulbright fellowships by the State Department for study in
the US. After the incident was covered by The New York Times, top State
Department officials intervened to restore the students’ Fulbright
fellowships ? although Israel allowed only four of the seven to leave, even
after appeals by Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice. “It is a welcome
victory ? for the students,” opined the New York Times in its July 8, 2008,
editorial, “[and] for Israel, which should want to see more of Gaza’s
young people follow a path of hope and education rather than hopelessness
and martyrdom; and for the United States, whose image in the Middle East
badly needs burnishing.”

Notwithstanding the importance of the Islamic University, Israel has tried
to justify the bombing. An army spokeswoman told The Chronicle that the
buildings had been used as “a research and development center for Hamas
weapons, including Qassam rockets….One of the structures struck housed
explosives laboratories that were an inseparable part of Hamas’s research
and development program, as well as places that served as storage facilities
for the organization. The development of these weapons took place under the
auspices of senior lecturers who are activists in Hamas.”

Islamic University officials denied the Israeli allegations. Yet even if
there is some merit in them, it is common knowledge that practically all
major American and Israeli universities are engaged in research and
development of military applications, and receive funding from the Pentagon
and defense corporations.  Unfortunately weapons development and even
manufacture has become a major part of university systems worldwide ? a fact
that does not justify bombing them.

How, given the unfolding events, should academics respond to this assault?
Regardless of one’s stand on the boycott of Israeli universities, anyone so
concerned about academic freedom as to put one’s name to a petition, should
be outraged no less by Israel’s destruction of a Palestine university. The
question, then, is whether the university presidents and professors who
signed the different petitions will speak out against the bombing of an
Islamic University.

先にお伝えした「あなたにもできる２５の行動＋α」（注１）の最後、
２６番目に、「現地にいる誰でもいいから、現場で何が起きているのか、
ライヴでレポートさせてもらえるよう、地元のラジオ局のトークショーや
ニュース記者に働きかけよう」、という提案がありました。

実際、日本のメディアの報道を見ていても、ガザの映像はあるものの、
記者によるレポートはイスラエル側からです。
（イスラエルがガザへのジャーナリストの立ち入りを禁じているためです。）
そのため、ガザからのレポートは圧倒的に文字媒体に限定されているのが
現状です。

ただ、ガザの携帯網は麻痺していて、電話がつながるのは奇跡に近い
という情報もあります。

集会で流すほうが確実です。
そのほうが、通訳も適宜、入れられるので、いいかもしれません。

「ガザにとどまる・・・」を読んでも分かるように、彼らが命の危険を冒して
ガザにとどまっているのは、まさに、そうしたことをするためなのだと思います。

９・１１の直後、ＮＨＫのＦＭ放送で、レノンの「イマジン」のメロディが
流れてきました。
あれっ？と思ったのは、それが、アラブの伝統楽器、カーヌーンに
よるものだったから。
続いて聞こえてきたのは、女性歌手のヘブライ語による「イマジン」。
えっ！？と思って耳を澄ましていると、そのあと、男性歌手がアラビア語で。
最後は二人の英語によるデュエット。
アルジェリア出身の、世界的に有名なライの歌手、シェーブ・ハーレド
（Sheb Khaled）が、イスラエル出身のユダヤ人の女性歌手、ノアと
デュエットしたこの“イマジン”は、ハーレドのアルバム“Kenza”の4曲目
に収録されています。

しかし、同曲は９・１１のあと、アルバムから削除され（実際、あの頃、
レノンの“Ｉｍａｇｉｎｅ”が、アメリカでは放送禁止になったと言われています）、
なかなか手に入りませんでした。
探し回ってようやく、９・１１前に製造されたアルバムを入手しました。
（今は入手できるようです。）

"Imagine"に関しては、日本のＮＧＯがパレスチナ人の子どもたちと
イスラエルのユダヤ人の子どもたちを日本に招聘して、舞台でいっしょに
この曲を歌わせたことを板垣雄三先生がかつて批判しておられました。
パレスチナ人にとっては、“No Country”は、想像してみる話ではなく、
この60年間、生きてきた現実そのものであり、祖国がないがゆえに、
この殺戮、この虐殺にさらされているのですから。
そのことを私たちは決して忘れてはいけないと思います。
問題の根源がどこにあるのかを決して、見誤ってはいけないと思います。

それを踏まえつつ、アラブ人歌手とユダヤ人の歌手が、アラビア語と
ヘブライ語で歌う「イマジン」に、私は、平和への希求を強く、深く、
感じます。
上で紹介したYou-chube の「イマジン」は、オリジナルのハーレドとノア
だけでなく、いろいろな国の歌手がそれぞれの言語で歌っていて、
We are the World を彷彿とさせます。
収録されたのがいつか分かりません。でも、まるで、今日のこの
事態のために、歌われているようです。何度聴いても、涙がとまりません。
年始休暇が明けて、これから各地で抗議集会、抗議デモが本格的に
組織されるのではないかと期待しています。
そのときのサウンドに使ってください。

そして、ラジオのリクエスト番組に、ハーレドの「イマジン」をリクエストしてください。

市民たちのことだ。ゼイトゥーンは農業地帯で住んでいるのは農民たちだ。

30分前、２基のミサイルが自宅近所のアパートを狙い撃ちした；ぞっとして生きた心地が
しなかった；子どもたちは恐怖で泣きわめいた！子どもたちをふつうの生活の雰囲気で
包んでやりたくて、私はいっしょにトランプ遊びをした。この爆発で男性二人が亡くなったほか
二人が負傷した。初日に、予防安全機構の一群の建物に対する最初の攻撃で４人が
殺されたのと同じ場所だ。

昨夜のガザはほんとうに身も凍る思いだった。60回以上の空襲があり、
加えて戦車や大砲による止むことない砲撃があたり一帯ところかまわずあった！
ガザではいついかなる瞬間においても安全な場所などどこにもない！
この間、私たちが経験している身の毛のよだつ恐怖を言葉では言い表せない。
なかでも昨夜は、もっとも苛烈な晩のひとつだった。昼間であろうと夜寝ている
ときであろうと、静かな瞬間などないのだ！

ラファでは80軒の家々が複数のヘリコプターによって攻撃された！
ハーン・ユーヌスのほかの地域、アル＝マガーズィ難民キャンプ、アル＝
ブレイジュ難民キャンプ、ジャバリーヤ村、ビーチ難民キャンプでも散発的に
狙われたところがあった。死者の数はうなぎのぼりで今日だけで30人以上が死んだ。
負傷者は言うまでもない。死者のなかには、UNRWAのトラック運転手もいる。
彼は車もろとも攻撃に見舞われた。これまでのところ10名もの救急医が
他の命を救おうとするさなか落命している！死者の数は一挙に800人代に、
負傷者は3100人以上に達した。ガザの病院の貧弱な設備では、これらの負傷者を
手当することなどできない。

Half an hour back, two missles targeted an apartment nearby my home; it was
horrible and deadly; my children cried out of fear! I was plying cards with
my children to put them in an atmosphere of normal life. In the blast, two
men died and two others injured. Its the same place where 4 people killed in
day one with the first attack on the preventive security aparatus compound.
In Gaza, last night was so horrible with more than 60 air raids, added to
non-stop tanks and artillery shelling to different places everywhere! No
place is safe at any moment in Gaza! Words stand short from descirbing the
horrors we have been through those days. Last night was one of the toughest!
There was no moment of quiteness in the daytime or sleep at night!
In Rafah, 80 homes were hit by heliocapters! There were sporadic targetings
of other parts in Khan Younis, Al-Maghazi refugee camp, Al-Buraij refugee
camp. Jabalia village, Beach refugee camp. The death toll ! is on the rise
with more than 30 died today let alone the injured. Among the dead was an
UNRWA truck driver as his truck was hit too. Another UNRWA employee was
injured. So far 10 paramedics lost their lives while working to save lives
of others! Death tool jumps up to 800 anf the injured to more than 3100.
Gaza poorly equipped hospitals are unable to manage those casulties.

継続する爆撃になす術もない。爆撃された建物の瓦礫の下敷きになって、
一家全滅した家族がいくつもある！

複数の戦車がガザ市に向かってゆっくりと移動している。夜はただひたすら恐ろしく、
夜明けの光を目にすると子どもたちは歓喜の声を上げる！子どもたちは続けて
何時間も眠ることができない。こっちで空襲、あっちで砲撃、遠くで激しい機関銃

ガザ市全体が食糧難に陥っている；当然のことながら果物や野菜などまったくない。

Death is everywhere. More than 70 air raids last night + 30
 ir raids today! Hundreds of children and women died in the
raids! You cannot imagine the havoc and destruction.
People are unable to cope with the ongoings of the bombing.
Whole families were killed under the rubble of bombed buildings!

Tanks move slowly towards the city. Night is horrendous and
children express jubilation to see day light at dawn! They can
 hadly sleep for continuous hours with raids here, shelling there
and heavy machine guns in the distance. Now, an F16 is flying
over our heads.


The whole city suffers food problem; of course, there are no fruits
 and vegetables at all. Situation of electricity and water are still bad.
Today, some areas in Gaza received electric power for two hours!
Gaza is on the verge of humanitarian and environmental crises!
Health situation and poor hospitals are collapsing! Sometimes one
cannot express what's going on around him!

昨夜、攻撃目標になった小児病院は、ガザ市北部にある「ムハンマド・
アル＝ドゥッラ病院」だ。またUNRWAの学校が昨日、ハーン・ユーニス
の町で、攻撃目標にされた。民間人こそ最大の被害者だ。

友人一家から今しがた聞いた話だ。引退した年配の元UNRWA職員の
夫婦、アフメド・オスルフ（73歳）と妻のサミーラ（66歳）、そして娘の
アリージュ（25歳）はアパートの8階に住んでいた。隣の建物の激しい
爆風で床に叩きつけられ、破片がアパートのなかに。アパートは
ゆがんで危険な場所になってしまった！

もはやアパートは安全な場所ではない；多くの家族が彼らは隣の
ブロックの友人家族のもとに行った！ガザ市内にいる親戚や友人を
頼って自宅アパートを去った。報道によれば、今日、7人が死んだ！
死者の数は900人を超えた。公式の報道やメディアでは語られて
いないことだが、ガザの郊外にいくつもの遺体がある。しかし、
イスラエル軍支配化の地域にあるため誰もそこにたどりつけないのだ！

血まみれの夜だった。昨晩またイスラエルの地上攻撃があった！
深夜1時半に始まり、6時45分まで続いた。またもうちの地区だった。
戦車やヘリコプターに加えて、彼らは白リン弾も使った。地区全体が
煌々と照らされた。

彼らは大工〔の工房?〕と家一軒のつごう2箇所を焼き、ほかの複数の
場所にも被害を与えた。昨晩の攻撃は、3日前に行われた最初の
攻撃にも増してすさまじかった！救急車と消防車がようやく戦闘地域に
たどり着けたのは7時、攻撃がすべて収まってからだった！

人々は脅え、さらに多くの家族がこの地区全体からガザ市内の別の
地区へ逃げていった。だが、結局のところ、どこに行くというのだ。

軍艦が爆弾を発射、15階建てのビルを破壊した！アル＝アンダルス・
タワーというビルだ。

彼らはまたガザ・ビーチにある夏の行楽地も攻撃し、焼いてしまった！
アル＝ジャジーラというところだった！どんなに控えめに言っても、
地獄のような夜だったことは確かだ。夕べ、ガザで眠れた人間がいたとは
思えない！昨晩の負傷者についてはまだ分からない！恐ろしい状況だ！

件名：どうやって発信しているのか

ヨーロッパにいる友人の一人から質問があった。こんな状況、絶えざる
ずっと戦闘が続いている中で、どうやって電子メールを送っているのかと。

まず、かれこれ15日間、電気のない状況におかれている。飲み水も
ほとんどない。携帯は壊れていて、わずかにショートメッセージを送れる
くらいだ。電話線はずっとＯＫだが、時々、通っていないことがある。
この間、小さな発電機を使ってラップトップのパソコンを動かしている。

3日前、電気会社が変圧器と電線のメンテナンスをおこなったので、
ふたたび電気が使えるようになった。水を上の階にある貯水槽に汲み
上げた！とはいえ、電気は依然、来たと思ったら停電の繰り返しだ；
２，３時間しか来ないときもあるし、10時間かそれ以上続くこともある。
そのときに電子メールを送っている。まったくもって尋常ならざることだが、
とにかく機会を見つけては世界に向けて発信することが、私にとって
いちばん重要なことなのだ。

件名：今夜のガザ

ガザは今、ちょうど深夜１時１５分だ。今日は比較的静穏だったように思う！
そう思うのだが、実際は、Ｆ１６によるガザ市への空襲があり、またラファの
国境地帯に対しても集中的な空襲があったのだ！まさに今、イスラエルの
攻撃用ヘリがガザ市の南の地区に照明弾を投下している！人道をめぐる
状況は最悪に向かっている！毎日、新たな日が訪れるたびに、死者の数も
負傷者の数も、都市部、農村部の両方で破壊も増加の一途をたどっている。
環境についても言うまでもない。軍事作戦が終了するや否や、環境の危機が
宣言されるだろう。そして、農業は完全にめちゃくちゃにされてしまった。
軍が作戦を展開しようと思うところはどこもかしこも、何百台もの戦車や
軍用車が畑を走り回り、イスラエルの軍事用ブルドーザーが植物をなぎ倒し
木々を根こそぎにしているのだ！

先のメッセージで、複数のUNRWAの学校が、家を失ったり、戦闘を恐れて
家を逃げ出したパレスチナ人の避難所になっていると伝えた。今日、その
メッセージを訂正したい。現在、パレスチナ人が暮らしているUNRWAの学校は
全部で３３。どの学校にも１２０家族がいる（以前のメールでは１２０人と書いたが、
そうではなく120家族だ）。UNRWAが毛布や一日３度の食事をこれらの家族に
提供している。地元のＮＧＯも複数、寄付に加わっている。

今日はまた、さらに何人かの外科医が病院を助けるためにガザに入ることを
許された。一方、ノルウェーの医療チーム（外科医２名）はシファー病院の外科で
何日か仕事をしてガザを去った。エジプト、ヨルダン、アルジェリア、サウジアラビア、
スーダンからも医師たちが駆けつけている。スーダンのチームはスーダンの人々が
献血してくれた血液バッグをもってガザに向かっている途中だ。

死者は、おおよそ１０００の命である；負傷者は４３００名以上に達している！
死者のうち３３１人が子ども、９９人が女性だ。遺体がいまだ瓦礫の下や野原に
ある者たちは含まれていない。今日、たとえば医療チームがようやく攻撃初日に
亡くなった者の遺体にたどり着くことができた！ガザ市北部にあるジャバリーヤ
難民キャンプ出身の９２歳の老人の遺体だ。老人は白旗を掲げていた！
家族全員が行方知れずだったり、あるいは、家族のある者たちは行方不明、
またある者たちは負傷したり、死亡したりといった家族について無数に話がある。
爆撃で身体に障害を負った子どもたちや女性たちの話にも事欠かない！
ショックやトラウマで心理的な手当てを必要とする者たちについての話もある！
通りのそれぞれにたくさんの物語があり、家族それぞれにもいくつもの物語があるのだ！

昨晩のヘリコプターと戦闘爆撃機Ｆ１６による監視活動にも爆撃活動にも
何の変化も見られなかった；狙われたのは主に民間人の住まいだ！
たとえば、アル＝ナーセル地区では夕べ、５軒の家がＦ１６に攻撃された。
そのうちの一軒は、ガザのイスラーム大学（IUG）の渉外部職員の家だった。
ゼイトゥーン地区でも住宅が攻撃目標にされた！昨晩、Ｆ16のミサイルが
シュイフ・ラドワーン墓地に着弾した！彼らはあと、どこを破壊するつもりなんだ！

ある医者から言われたのだが、何百人もの負傷者たちが二度と回復する
こともなければ、ふつうの暮らしに戻ることもないという！ある15歳の少女の
ヴィデオを見た。少女はひざの上から両脚、切断されていた。もう一人の少女は
片脚しか残っていなかった、そしてほかの少女たちは・・・・・・外科手術室の
キャパシティは限られているし、使える設備も貧弱なので、 健康をめぐる状況は
どんどん悪化している。パレスチナ人の外科医を支援しにアラブ諸国といくつかの
ヨーロッパの国々から駆けつけた60名から70名の医師たちが助けになってくれて
いるが、しかし、それでもなお、ガザにはいかなる治療も受けることができないでいる
負傷者たちがいる・・・・・・また、13人の救急医が、勤務中に命を落とした；何台もの
救急車が、負傷者を救出し遺体を避難させようとして撃たれている！ぜんぶ感嘆符つきだ！

2009年１月18日（日）侵攻23日目
ガザ停戦！これが停戦か？とんでもない！

今朝（2009年１月18日日曜）、イスラエルは一方的停戦を発表した。だが、実際には、彼らはコンタクトゾーンで銃撃を続けている。フェンスの向こう側で何時間かたって、パレスチナの諸組織が停戦を宣言した。その間も無人飛行機はガザ上空を立ち去ることなく、F１６は、イスラエルによる停戦発表の12時間後になってさえいくつかの建物を攻撃目標にした。

ほかのところでは救助作業が続いている。今日初めて、残骸の下、農地のいくつかの場所やゼイトゥーン地区の裏道、ガザ地区の北部、そしてイスラエル軍が攻撃し破壊したところから、新たに100以上の遺体が見つかった！瓦礫や破壊された家の下から子どもたちをふくむ一家全員〔の遺体〕が発見された家族もたくさんある。医療関係筋によると、今日、発見された死者の２割が身元不明だという！発見された遺体のうち、１７体は〔身元の判別が不可能なほど〕完全に腐乱が進みひとつの墓に埋葬された！

ゼイトゥーン地区の東部に住んでいたアル＝サンモーニー家の一族も遺族になった。攻撃の最初の頃、イスラエル人たちはこの一族の13人を殺した！民間人で、白旗を掲げ、その場を通過させて欲しいと訴えていたのに、彼らは撃たれ、殺されたのだ。イスラエル兵たちはさらに、自宅にいた同じ一族の15人を殺害した！今日、停戦が発効し、救助チームはまたも、同じ一族の２１体の遺体を発見した；この一族の５０から60名もの人々が侵攻のあいだにイスラエル兵に撃ち殺されたそうだ。

ガザの社会全体が打ちひしがれている。喪われた命の数々、圧倒的な破壊、残骸、死傷者、そして絶滅のさまに！農作地も農民の家々も彼らのまわりのすべてが甚大な被害に見舞われた！市民たちは誰もが打ちひしがれ、精神的外傷を負い、ショックを受け、悲痛な思いでいる！周囲の〔人々の〕心理的状況に心が震える！イスラエル兵が建物内部にまで侵入した住宅は、どこもかしこもめちゃくちゃにされた！彼らは壁に、ヘブライ語で「死」や罵倒の言葉やダヴィデの星を落書きし、さらには聖なるコーランにまで落書きしたのだ。

今晩のガザは、用心深い沈黙と期待のなかで時を過ごしている！状況全体が、いつなんどき、燃え上がり爆発しても不思議ではない！イスラエルの戦車部隊が新たな作戦を展開するのではないかと恐れている者たちがいる。今まさに頭上で偵察機の飛ぶ音がする。彼らは何もかも監視しているのだ！だがイスラエルが攻撃目標にする何が今もまだ残っているというのだろう！？ガザのいたるところに恐怖の、破壊の、死の、いまだ語られていないたくさんの物語がある。ガザ市の80％が依然、電気なしの状態で生活している。

24日目　侵攻の時：
停戦が発効した翌日だというのに、イスラエルのF16が私たちの頭上に！戦車部隊はなおガザ地区内部に。今朝、イスラエルの軍艦がガザ市のどこかを砲撃した。その音がはっきりと聞こえた！ガザのインフラは無惨に破壊されている。電気や水が手に入る者は幸運だ。ガザ市の境界に住む者たちは電話もつながらない。瓦礫の山、不毛な荒涼たる土地に変わり果てた地域がいくつもある。今日、アル＝サンモーニー一族の新たな遺体がさらに見つかった。また、パレスチナ人医師の妻でウクライナ人のエリナ・エル＝ジャルーの遺体も見つかった。彼女の子どもたちの一人も母親の傍らで遺体で見つかった。その妹はシファー病院の集中治療室で生きているのが分かった！報告によれば、侵攻で5人の外国人が殺されたという。

Junday 18 January 2009 (Day 23 invasion)
Ceasefire in Gaza! Is it a ceasefire? I doubt it!
This morning (Sunday 18 January 2009) Israel declared a one-sided ceasefire,
however, on the ground they kept shooting at the contact areas. On the other
side of the fence, hours later, the Palestinian organizations declared a
ceasefire. Meantime, unmanned planes did not leave Gaza skies, and F16s
targeted several places even after 12 hours of Israel's declaration of the
ceasefire.

Elsewhere rescue operations continued. Only today more than 100 dead bodies
were found under debris and in the other places in the fields and back
streets in Zietoun neighborhood and in the northern parts of Gaza Strip, and
where the Israeli army attacked and demolished! Many whole families
including children were found under the rubble and demolished homes. Medical
sources mentioned that 20% of the dead found today, were not identified!

Among the dead bodies found, 17 were totally decayed, thus they were buried
in one grave! Among the lamented families was al-Sammoni extended family
that lived in the eastern part of Zeitoun neighborhood. In the early days of
the offensive, the Israelis killed 13 from that family! Being civilians,
they raised white flags and wanted a passage off that area but they were
shot at and killed, and then the Israeli soldiers killed from the same
family 15 others inside their homes! Today, as the ceasefire is in effect,
rescue teams found 21 bodies of that same family again; it was said that
50-60 people from that family were shot dead by the Israeli soldiers during
the invasion!

The dead included children, women, and elderly. Death toll amounted to 1300
people. It’s unbelievable, incredible and mind-boggling by all means!
Innocent civilians paid the most expensive price; they paid their lives!  It
was genocide!

The whole Gaza society is depressed for the losses of souls, havoc,
devastation, wreckage, casualties and annihilation! Huge losses were seen in
the agricultural fields, farmers' homes, and everything around them!
Depression, trauma, shocks and pain are common among the civilians! I am
shaken by the psychological situation around! Wherever the Israeli soldiers
attacked inside the residential buildings they turned the place into
disarray! They scribbled on walls Hebrew threats of death, bad language,
David star and they scribbled on the Holy Quran too.

The Israelis still call by telephone Palestinian homes threatening them of
another punishment! In the afternoon, an Israeli aircrafts threw anti-Hamas
leaflets on the western parts of Gaza. It was a silly behavior because
everyone in Gaza has experienced the Israelis mastering terrorism against
whoever is a Palestinian regardless of his/her political affiliation; it was
an all out war against the Palestinian existence! Throwing leaflets was a
stupid behavior! That silly behavior did not move anyone after the ruthless
attacks on civilians everywhere in Gaza Strip and the huge number of
casualties, and the crazy number of deaths and losses among the people. What
a leaflet can do to anyone civilian after he or she was bombed by F16
fighter-bomber. It's all idiot behavior!

Tonight is a time of cautious silence and anticipation in Gaza! The whole
situation may flare up or explode at any moment! There are fears of other
deployments of the Israeli tanks. I can hear a reconnaissance airplane over
our heads right now. They have been watching everything! What else will
Israel target? I just wonder! There are still untold stories of horror,
destruction and death everywhere in Gaza. It is still that 80% of Gaza city
live without electricity.

Day 24 invasion time:
One day after the ceasefire comes into effect. Israeli F16 is over our
heads! Tanks are still inside Gaza Strip. This morning Israeli warships
shelled somewhere in Gaza. We heard it very clear! Gaza infrastructure is
devastated. He who gets electricity and water is lucky. It is impossible
that those who live in the edges of Gaza have telephone lines. Some areas
have turned into debris, barren and desolate land. Today found more dead
bodies of el-Sammouni's family. Also, found dead body of Elina el-Jarou, a
Ukranian wife of a Palestinian doctor. One of her children was found dead
with her too whereas her young daughter was found in Shifa hospital's ICU.
Five foreigners reported killed in the invasion.

１月19日付け英国のガーディアン紙に、「粉塵と死の只中で；戦争の恐怖を証言する一家族の物語」と題して、この一族を襲った悲劇が、より詳細かつ具体的に掲載されています。

ヒルミー・サムーニーは昨日、妻と5ヶ月になる息子とかつてともに過ごした寝室の床にひざまづき、厚く降り積もった灰とガラスの破片のあいだを指でかき分けながら、ともに生きていた家族の形見を探していた。「指輪を見つけた。ほかにもまだ見つかるかもしれない」
妻のマハーと息子のムハンマドが殺されたのは、ガザに対する22日間におよぶイスラエルの戦争が2週目に入ったときだった。数十人の親族とともに家の近くに避難していたところにイスラエル軍による砲撃を受けたのだ。ガザ市南部のゼイトゥーン地区で１月5日、月曜の朝、一家族の48名もの人間が亡くなった。
この戦争でガザの市民を襲ったもろもろの恐怖のなかで、おそらくサムーニー家の運命はもっとも深刻なものであったかもしれない。サムーニー家は農家で、親族たちがひとつ地域の隣近所に集まって、ブロックを積み上げた簡素な家々に暮らしていた。
この狭い地域で、１０もの家々が破壊され、それらは昨日、砂のなかの瓦礫の山に変わり果てていた。ヒルミー・サムーニーの2階建ての家は、まだかろうじて倒壊を免れている数少ない建物のひとつだ。とはいえ、巨大な戦車の砲弾が寝室の壁を貫いて、黒焦げになった壁には大きな穴が口を空けていた。侵攻のあいだ、家はイスラエル兵に占拠された。兵士たちは家具を破壊し、そこらじゅうに射撃姿勢をとるための土嚢を積み上げた。
兵士たちは、独特な堆積物を置き土産に残していった；弾丸の包装、ヘブライ語が書かれた缶詰のピーナッツ、「高品質ボディ・ウォーマー」の入ったビニール袋、そして何十ものオリーブ色のゴミ袋。空の袋もあるが、満杯で悪臭を放っているものもある。部隊の携帯便所だったのだ。
だが、もっとも衝撃的なのが、１階の壁に彼らが書きなぐっていった落書きである。ヘブライ語もあるが、多くは稚拙な英語だ。「アラブ人は死ね」「皆殺しだ」「和平ではなく戦争だ」・・・・・・そして、墓碑銘を思わせる走り書きもあった「アラブ人1948−2009年」。
ダビデの星もいくつかあった。その一つの傍らには「ガザ、俺たちはここにいるぞ」と書かれていた。
ヒルミーの弟、サラーフ（30歳）も同じ建物の別の部屋に住んでいた。彼もまた、ひっぱり出せるかぎりのものをひっぱり出していた。そのなかには、彼の父がかつて発効してもらったイスラエルの労働許可証もあった。「彼らは父に許可証を与え、それからイスラエルからやって来て、そして父を殺した」とサラーフは言った。この攻撃で、彼は両親のタラールとラフマ、そして2歳になる娘アッザを失った。
この戦争のあいだ、イスラエルはジャーナリストがガザに入るのを禁じていた。だが、昨日、瓦礫となった自宅の外でサラーフと彼の隣人たちが述べたことは、攻撃のあと何日かのあいだに目撃者たちが述べたことを確証している。彼らの陳述によって、国連はゼイトゥーンにおける殺害をこの戦争のもっとも深刻な出来事の一つと表現し、赤十字もこれを「衝撃的な出来事」と呼んで、同団体としては珍しく、公的に非難したのだった。
10以上もの遺体が日曜、瓦礫の中から引き上げられ、さらに昨日、もう一体が引き上げられて、サムーニー家の死者の数は、ガザ緊急医療サービスの所長、ムアーウィア・ハサネイン医師によれば、全部で４８名になった。日々、さらなる遺体が回収されており、３週間にわたるイスラエルの戦争による死者の数は今や１３６０名に達している。イスラエル側の死者は13名だ。
戦争中、イスラエルによる空からの攻撃が始まって1週間がたち、2回目の日曜が訪れると、ガザの地上侵攻に先立って、大砲による激しい砲撃の波が襲った。その晩、サラーフ・サムーニーは家族16名とともに、1階に避難した。翌朝、１月4日日曜の朝までに、近所に住む親族たちがさらに避難して来て、その数は50名近くになっていた。
サラーフは言う、「彼らは２階に砲弾を発射し、２階が燃え始めました。私たちは救急車と消防車を呼びましたが、だれひとり、私たちのもとにたどり着くことができませんでした」間もなくイスラエル兵の一団が近づいてきた。「彼らはやってくると扉を叩き、全員、家から出て行けと言いました」彼らは舗装していない道を数メートル歩いて、ワーエル・サムーニーの大きな１階建ての家に入った。
そこに彼らはその日、とどまった。一団は男、女、子どもあわせて１００名あまり。食糧もなければ、水もほとんどなかった。彼らの家々の周りの野外ではパレスチナ人の戦闘員が作戦を展開していたのかもしれないが、目撃者たち全員がゆるぎなく主張しているところによれば、ワーエル・サムーニーの家に集まった者たちは全員、民間人であり、みな同じ一族の者たちだった。
月曜の朝、サラーフをはじめ男たち４人が煮炊きするための薪を持ってくるため外に出た。「彼らは私たちに対して砲弾を直撃してきたのです」サラーフは言う。４人のうち２人が即死、あとの２人も怪我を負った。サラーフは額と背中と両脚を砲弾の破片でやられた。彼によればその何秒後かにさらに２発の砲弾が家を見舞い、そこにいた何十人もが殺された。
サラーフと７０人あまりもの人々の一団は家から逃げ出し、兵士たちに向かって、女子どもがいるのだと叫んだ。彼らは幹線道路に走り出て、１キロほど走り続け、ようやく救急車が彼らにたどり着いた。だが、ほかの者たちは取り残された。
ワーエル・サムーニーの父、ファーリス（５９歳）は、一団が避難していた家の隣に住んでいた。トタンで葺いただけの１階建ての家だったため、彼の家族も隣の家に避難していた。だが、彼は自宅にとどまった。撃たれるのではないかという恐怖で家を離れることができなかったのだ。しかし、火曜日に、生き残った者たちが彼に水を持って来てくれと叫んだ。彼は急いで短い距離を走り、彼らに合流した。
「遺体が床に並んでいた。怪我人もいた。みな、互いに助け合っていた」とファーリスは言う。ファーリスは死者のなかに妻のリズカ（５０）、義理の娘アナーン、そして孫のホダー（１６）の姿を認める。
翌水曜の午後ようやく、生き延びた者たちは救出される。赤十字が到着し彼らを病院に搬送したのだ。イスラエル軍は、ゼイトゥーンで何が起きたか調査中だという。部隊が住民に、一軒の家に集まれと命令したことはないと軍は繰り返し否定し、民間人を意図的に攻撃目標にしたこともないと言う。
一族のほかの者たちも別の形で、しかし、同じようにぞっとする運命に見舞われた。ファラジュ・サムーニー（２２）はヒルミーとサラーフの家の隣に家族とともに住んでいた。この家族も土曜の晩、激しい砲撃から避難するため、１８名ほどの一団で一つ部屋に身を寄せて、その夜を過ごした。日曜の朝、イスラエル兵がやって来た。「家の持ち主は出てこいと彼らは叫びました。父が扉を開けて出て行くと、彼らはその場で父を撃ったのです」ファラジュは言った。
彼の父アティヤ（４５歳）の体は、前のめりに地面に倒れた。兵士たちは部屋のなかにむけてさらに発砲し、４歳になるファラジュの腹違いの弟アフマドとその母が殺された。アフマドが座っていた小さな部屋の壁には、昨日も血の跡があった。
部隊は彼らに床に横たわるよう命令した。しかし、隣の部屋が燃え始め、苦い煙が立ち込めてきたので、彼らは、外に出してくれるよう叫び始めた。「私たちは叫び続けました、赤ん坊も子どもたちも」ファラジュは言う。ようやく兵士たちが彼らを外に出し、彼らは通りを走って、ワーエル・サムーニーの家に集まっている人々の傍らを通り過ぎ、幹線道路に達し、事なきを得た。
ファラジュが戻ってきたときには、自宅は完全に破壊され、捻じ曲がった鉄筋とコンクリートの山になっていた。屋外の小さなグリルの上に、日曜の朝食に彼らが調理していた８つのナスが黒こげになって残っていた。彼が父の遺体を埋葬することが出来たのはようやく日曜になってからだった。そのとき、最後の、あってはならないことが起こった。ガザの墓地は今や満杯で、イスラエルによる長期にわたる封鎖でコンクリートも欠乏しているため、彼は一族の古い墓をあばいて、ほかの遺体とともに父の遺体をそのなかに収めたのだった。
「どうして平和など望める？彼らは民間人、子どもさえ殺しているというのに」ファラジュは言った。「今は停戦を支持する。わたしたちには何の力もない。停戦がなければ死者さえ葬れない」
ガザの人間たちのなかには、自分たちがこの紛争に引きずり込まれたのは、この小さな領土を統治するイスラーム主義運動のせいだといって、私的にハマースに対する怒りをうちあける者もいる。だが、それよりはるかに多い、大多数の者たちがイスラエルに対する苦い怒りと、破壊と殺人を止めることができなかったアラブ世界およびその他国際社会の無気力に対する憤懣について語っている。
「みなに咎がある」イブラーヒーム・サムーニー（４５）は言う。彼は、妻と息子４人をゼイトゥーンの殺戮で失った。「みなに私たちのことを見てもらわねば、そして、ここで何が起きたのかも。私たちは抵抗戦士ではない。ごく普通の人間だのに・・・」

皮肉なことだ；侵攻が終わったのだという。イスラエルの戦車が
その場から引き揚げていく。だが、私は言おう、侵攻は終わって
などいない。侵略者たちは今なおガザ地区の中にいるのだから。
再配備は撤退を意味するものではない！三首脳会談が続いて
開かれたが何を決めるというのだ？　政治的文脈で言っている
のではない、人道的文脈の話をしているのだ！私の主たる関心は、
市民が負傷したことであり、人間の命が失われたことだ！不幸な
ことに、どの国王も、大統領も、首長も、スルタンも、国家の代表団も、
誰一人として、イスラエルが人権を侵害したとは敢えて口にしよう
ともしないのだ；市民に対し、住宅に対し、白燐弾を無差別に
用いたことも「見えなかった」のだ！

最大の損害のひとつが農業生活の破壊だ！イスラエルは実に
広大な農業地帯を破壊した；ガザ地区全域に比して、それは
広大だ。軍事用ブルドーザーで木々を根こそぎにし、温室を
破壊し、植物を、穀物を、井戸を、灌漑システムを、伝染を、
そして畑にあるほかのありとあらゆるものを破壊した。文字通り、
その周りにあるありとあらゆるものだ！彼らは家畜を殺し、
食肉用の動物を殺し、鶏まで殺した！土地の姿が変わって
しまった！小さな土地を仕切る垣根さえ、壊された！農民たちの
家さえも破壊された！農地は、私の掌のようにまっさらになって
しまった！イスラエルはガザ地区で生きているパレスチナ人
ことごとくを罰したのだ！損害のおよそ５０％が、農地における
ものだと算定されている。

ありていに言えば、イスラエルの対ガザ戦争は、ガザ地区の
ありとあらゆる者たちに対する無差別懲罰であったことが分かる！
それは、来るべき世代を殺害するプロセスだった；何百人もの幼児、
子どもたちが瓦礫の下で殺された。また、何百人もの女性たちが
民間人の住まいに対する狂気の爆撃で殺された！イスラエルによる
正当化や言い訳はまったくもって愚かしいだ。国連総長がガザを
訪れた；彼は、UNRWAの学校で罪もない市民がいかに非人道的な
生活をしているか視察した；彼は、ジャバリーヤ〔難民キャンプ〕にある
アル＝ファフーラの学校へも足を運んだ。そこでは、イスラエルの戦車
からの砲撃によって、避難していたパレスチナ人67名が殺され、
何十人もが負傷したのだった！事務総長は、彼自身の言葉で
イスラエルを非難したか？だから何だ？そう私は言いたい、だから何だ、
国連事務総長の訪問が何だというのだ！３つの首脳会談が中東地域で
開かれたが、イスラエルによる人権侵害、戦争犯罪を非難する言葉は
一言も口にされなかった！

ガザでは、人々は今なお、彼らの死者たちを見つけようと努力している。
停戦になって最初の日だけで１０３体もの遺体が瓦礫の下から発見された。
その翌日にはさらに26体。捜索はなお続いている。全家族が、人間性の
地図から一掃されてしまったのだ！今や私たちは、いかにしてか怪我を
免れた者たち、生き残った者たちについて語るなら、世話してもらわねば
ならない何十人もの孤児たちのことを語ることになるだろう！いったい
これらの子どもたちを誰が面倒をみるのか？何の設備もなく、孤児の
ための正式な社会プログラムも何一つないというのに？ガザ地区には
孤児院が一つだけあるが、寄付と善良な施し主に依存する脆弱な組織だ。

侵攻25日目、敵対行為が停止され停戦になったというのに、
イスラエルの戦車がガザ地区中部地域に進攻し、2名を殺害した！
一方、昨日と今朝、イスラエルの軍艦から砲撃があった！
言うまでもないことだが、イスラエルの偵察機が複数、依然、
頭上でいらだたしい唸り声を上げている。そしてイスラエルの
戦車も依然、ガザ地区の境界内に展開しているのだ！

Al-Quds hospital in Tal el-Hawa (Second block from me) as burnt by the
Israeli army!

Day 25 invasion time (Wednesday 21st January 2009)
It was an irony; they said the invasion was over; the Israeli tanks pulled
back from their positions. I said, the invasion is not over yet. The
invaders are still inside Gaza Strip. Redeployment does not mean withdrawal!
Three summits followed to decide! Decide on what? I am not talking politics
in this context, rather I am talking humanitarian! My major concern is the
civilian casualties and human loses! Unfortunately, no one king, president,
emir, or sultan, or country's delegation dared mentioning Israel's violation
of human rights; their use of white phosphorous bombs indiscriminately
against civilians and residential buildings was "not seen"!
One of the major losses comes from destroying the agricultural life! The
Israelis destroyed a very wide agricultural area; it's wide as compared to
the overall area of Gaza Strip. Their military bulldozers uprooted trees,
destroyed greenhouses, plants, crops, water wells, irrigation systems,
electric lines, and everything else in the green field, and I mean
everything else around! They killed domestic animals, meat animals, and
poultry too! The features of the place have changed! Even fences between
pieces of land were destroyed! Even the homes of farmers were demolished!
The agricultural field has turned to be as plain as the palm of my hand!
Israel punished every Palestinian living in Gaza Strip! Among losses
estimated, approximately 50% of the overall loses were in the field of
agriculture!
In simple words, the Israeli war waged against Gaza Strip proved to be an
indiscriminate punishment of everyone in Gaza Strip! It was a process of
killing an upcoming generation; hundreds of infants and children were killed
under rubble. Also, hundreds of women were killed in the crazy bombing of
civilians homes! The Israeli justifications and pretexts were silly by all
means. UN secretary visited Gaza; he was taken to see how innocent civilians
live inhumanely in UNRWA schools; he went to al-Fakhoura school in Jabalia
where 67 Palestinian war escapees were killed, and dozens others wounded by
Israeli tanks shelling! Did he condemn Israel even with his words? So what!
I really mean it; so what his visit! Three summits were held in the region
without mentioning a word of condemnation of Israelis violations of human
rights and war crimes!
In Gaza, people are still trying to find their dead. The first day after the
ceasefire 103 dead bodies were found under rubble, then 26 other were found
the following day, and search is sill under way. Whole families were wiped
from the map of humanity! Now, if we speak about those who were saved and
remained alive in a way r another, we would mention dozens of orphans in
need of care! Who will take care of them with no facilities available and no
official social program for the orphans? There is only one orphanage in Gaza
Strip and it's a poor institutions depends on donations and good doers!
