Here are some urgent deadlines that need to drawn to people's attention in relation to the WCAR Durban meeting: 1. Registration for Durban NGO forum due: 30 May 2001 (**** If you have any intention of going to Durban, just send in your registration before this deadline. ***** The registration form is attached to this message or can be downloaded from the SANGOCO website: www.racism.org.za. Ignore the Conference Rate of USD100 for the moment as its removal is currently being debated at the UN. If you have any trouble downloading the registration form let APWLD know and we can fax it to you.) 2. Application for funding from UN for NGOs to attend WCAR due: 15 June 2001 (the application form is in Briefing Note 16, attached below. All applications must be sent to: funding.hchr@unog.ch) 3. Accredited NGOs must also register for the WCAR Government Forum, Durban (If you are not an accredited NGO, you can apply for accreditation, or make sure you contact an accredited NGO as soon as possible and ask them to include you in their registration - details available at the UNCHR website: www.unhchr.ch/html/racism/index.htm or at SANGOCO website www.racism.org.za). NOTE: PLEASE INFORM APWLD IF YOUR ORGANIZATION IS REGISTERING FOR EITHER THE NGO OR GOVERNMENT FORUM OR APPLYING FOR UN FUNDS.
