It being the first regional meeting on RH in the continent, the organizers would like to open the presentations to as many countries as possible. In this vein, we would like to invite you to send an abstract for the plenary or parallel sessions. The guidelines for abstract submission are as follows : C A L L F O R A B S T R A C T The APCRH Programme Committee is still accepting abstract submissions from those who wish to make presentations during the conference. The deadline for submission has been extended to November 30, 2000. Guidelines (please read carefully) 1. The paper should be of demonstrable relevance to people in Asia and the Pacific region. 2. The abstract should focus on RH best practices with long-term experience. 3. A presenter may be allowed to present up to two abstracts if warranted. 4. The abstract must be written in English in not more than 300 words. 5. Capitalize the entire title and do not abbreviate. Give the initials and family names, in capitals, for every author. 6. Use of standard abbreviations is desirable. Place special or unusual abbreviations in brackets after the full word the first time it appears. 7. Organize the text of the abstract as follows : A statement of the program/project objectives A statement of the strategies/methods used A summary of the results A statement of conclusions reached 8. Do not include graphs, tables and references in the abstract. 9. The abstract will be reproduced exactly as submitted. Note : Abstracts are subject to the approval of the Programme Committee. All accepted abstracts will be published in the Conference Book of Abstracts in the form and condition they are submitted by the authors. Submission of Abstracts therefore constitutes the authors' consent to publish the abstracts. The organizers have waived the payment of registration fee as a pre-condition for submission of abstracts. A limited number of scholarships are available for some of those whose abstracts will be selected for presentation.
