Writer/Editor She is responsible for 1) writing original manuscripts for Isis International-Manila's regular, special and occasional communication media that includes print and electronic formats; 2) coordinating the editorial work for Women Envision, a monthly newsletter; 3) rewriting and/or editing the manuscripts written by other staff or contributors; 4) culling and editing manuscripts from previously-published materials; and 5) ensuring that the manuscripts are up to the standard set by Isis International-Manila in terms of quality and promptness. Qualifications - strong feminist perspective - involvement in the women's movement either nationally, regionally or both for at least 3 years - AB in Communication Arts, Mass Communication, Journalism, International Studies, Women's Studies, or related courses or equivalent experience - 1-2 years writing experience - willing to travel - good command of written English Salary will be commensurated based on experience. For expatriates relocating to the Philippines, there will be a modest relocation package and benefits offered.
